Politically Offending Game Slammed by Religious Groups
A computer game in which players control an American soldier sent to “wipe out the Muslim race” has been condemned as offensive and tasteless by British Muslim groups. Honestly, I’m enraged by the game, too. If this is some game developer’s way to make himself known, he should be ashamed of himself instead.The game originally appeared on SomethingAwful.com, but now has its own online home. Players control an ‘American Hero’ armed with a machine gun and rocket launcher, blasting away characters that look like Muslims.
The game’s creator, Eric Vaughn, told interviewers that the bottomline is that he enjoyed making it and its fun to play.
What kind of sicko enjoys making games that sets off on a bloody killing rampage? And its against a particular race?
Later, he added: ‘The Muslims represented in the game aren’t meant to be based on actual Muslims.
Duh?

I’m going to play devil’s advocate here.
While I don’t think this game is right - it is no worse than what you find in some Muslim countries.
If you actually see some of the things that are put out on Arabic television stations, it would make you just as sick.
They have children’s programmes (hosted by kids) where they talk about killing Jews, and all people who don’t believe in the word of Muhammed and Allah.
There’s some horrific propaganda out there against western societies.
This game is not the right way to go about this, but everyone is acting like it’s the worst thing in the world.
I don’t know about you - but to me a few pixilated men running around is nothing compared to a national television station broadcasting to families that they should kill Jews.
-I don’t condone the game, but there is a bigger picture.

At first I thought it was some stupid joke - but I have a Muslim friend and he said the translation is pretty accurate. He doesn’t live in Palestine, but he thinks it is a real show (from what his family told him).
It’s kind of scary if you ask me - seeing stuff like this on kids tv.
