Exer-Gaming, Anyone?
Exer-gaming is a new term for an age-old gaming practice. One writer even traced its roots 25 years ago, during the time of the Atari Joyboard.
Its definition is simple - its when you sweat it out while playing the game by shifting controls to other parts of the body other than your fingers. A classic example will be that fun arcade game Dance Dance Revolution. If that won’t make you sweat, I don’t know what will.
Game publisher, Majesco Entertainment announced a few days back, about their partnership with reality fitness trainer, Jillian Michaels of “The Greatest Loser” fame. And guess what, its going to be and exercise-themed title for the Wii.
The release of the title will be targeted for the holidays, just when everybody’s a tad bit overweight from all that holiday eating. Majesco CEO Jesse Sutton forsees a big opportunity for fitness celebrities, especially if they would want to see Wii versions of their exercise videos.

I think the newest barrage of Wii exercise games is fantastic……Games like DDR are an aerobic and fun way to get some of us our much needed exercise.

Yeah I agree. I wonder if they’re thinking of porting Hip Hop Abs as a game soon?
