Facebook a Gold Mine for Casual Games
Who would have guessed that a social networking site be a haven for casual games? Name it and they have it!
Web 2.0 darling, Facebook, has a myriad of games from original ones to reproductions, ports of retro games and so much more. Just use the nifty search box found on the upper left corner of the Facebook page to browse on all those goodies.
And the best part about all of it? You get to invite your friends to add games that you have and play with them, too. Or play with thousands of other Facebook denizens who’s got the same titles as your roster.
I’m addicted to Scrabulous myself. I used to have as many as 15-20 games going on simultaneously to keep myself from waiting for my opponent’s turn. But due to my decreasing productivity level, I’m currently trying to limit it to 5. :D Scrabulous is a turn-based clone of the age-old favorite, Scrabble.
Other games worth trying out? Scramble, Word Twist, Nes Retro games, Texas Hold’em Poker and (fluff)Friends which lets you take care of virtual Facebook pets and race them with each other.
If you do happen to drop by Facebook to play, make sure to invite me for a round (or two) of Scrabulous.
